"Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul.
If either your sails or your rudder be broken, you can but toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas.  For reason, ruling alone, is a force confining: and passion, unattended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction" - Kahlil Gibran

Appointment Times:

A wide range of appointments are available on weekdays and weekends, both daytime and evenings.  It is recommended that sessions take place every week, usually on the same day and time.  More frequent meetings may be available by direct negotiation with the individual counsellor.  When first making contact it is helpful to know what days and times you are able to meet.

This service is only for pre-arranged appointments that have been confirmed verbally or by email.  There is no drop-in facility and all initial inquiries must be made by email or over the telephone.

What to do next:

If you are interested in starting therapeutic counselling, the next step is to arrange for a preliminary meeting with a prospective counsellor.   This will be an opportunity for you to describe the sort of issues you will be bringing to to the sessions and for the counsellor to ensure they feel able to work with you in a way that is likely to bring some benefit.

There is no charge for this first meeting and it carries no firm commitment on either side.  It is expected that following this meeting both parties will be able to decide whether they wish to work together.  If this is not possible, for whatever reason, the counsellor will suggest an alternative.

How to get in touch:

If you would like more information or would like to arrange for a preliminary meeting then you can get in touch by using the email address or the telephone number shown below.

All enquiries are without obligation and will be regarded as totally confidential.   It would be useful for you to mention what days and times you are available to meet.  If you are leaving a message or sending an email, it would also be helpful to know when would be the best time to contact you and if it is appropriate to leave a message.
